I thought I might re-open my blog. I neglected it for a long while, I locked it up for a bit, but I have unlocked it and I am thinking of trying again. Actually I have been thinking about that for a long time.
When I started the blog I promised myself that I would not be embarrassed by who I am, and that I would not undo thing that I did here. Well ... I undid some things. I have gone through and made most of my old posts hidden. They were either boring or irrelevant or focused on people that were on the periphery of my life. Whats left are a few that I thought were particularly honest or funny or said a little about who I am.
If I continue blogging I think one thing I learned is that I need to be "out there". If I can't say it openly then it probably shouldn't be said. So ... a quick update. I am Mark Champion, a 51 year old single father to two daughters. Sofia (aged 14) and Eliza (aged 12). The photo is one of the rare ones of them together. It was taken during some downtime on our trip to Spain last summer.
Since I last posted we have moved. We live in a small town house outside of Toronto which we own. I still work in I.T., but I am no longer self-employed. In addition to our two cats, we adopted a Dog a year and a half ago. Chiyo is a mutt, but a perfect one.

Welcome back, Mark! And congratulations on being "out there." I bet it feels great!
ReplyDeleteYou are a truly gifted writer, by the way (your letter on my blog is a perfect example of that) and I hope you continue to visit here with your thoughts.
